This is my first laptop desktop after using for the last 11 years. All I can say is that I do not suffer from buyers remorse for this article. The touchpad responds. The handset is very thin and portable. My only complaint is the screen is a matte finish and desktop monitors. (Like a lot of glare). I bought this mainly as a tool for watching streaming movies and a portable DVD player. I was now 15 days, so there is no way to go …. I'm here to stay. It runs very quiet and speakers are OK for a laptop. It is not as hot as the processor is a 1.3 GHz Intel Core Duo. Some of the pluses I like this unit:
Runs Windows 7
It has a battery life of 9 hours
Thin
Quiet
Monitor 15.6 inches
And like I said, the only drawback is the screen is a matte finish (to obtain reflected light)
Asus is the new kid on the block and came with some great technology. (They are also involved with electronics and Readers). I would say get this archetype as precise as you get a nice 15.6-inch tent with an array of screw 9 hours.
